Funding
How It’s Funded
SIL is funded from the Core Supports budget of your NDIS plan (Assistance with Daily Life). Rent, food and utilities are not covered by SIL and are paid separately. We can help you understand your plan and work with your support coordinator to get the right arrangement in place.
Is SIL the same as the home I live in?
No. SIL funds the support you receive at home, not the house itself. Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is separate funding for specially designed homes.
Can I choose who I live with?
Choice and control are our core values. We work with you on compatibility with housemates and on who supports you.
What if my needs change?
We review your supports regularly and help you request a plan review if your circumstances change.
